Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Terms and Conditions for Use of the Prego website. By accessing this website, and/or placing an order for goods, you indicate your agreement to these terms and conditions. Please email us therefore if you have any query regarding the terms outlined below.

Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a contract bound by English Law, and the English Courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any disputes arising between us.

We reserve the right to change the website and correct or update information (including product information) at any time and without notice.

Prices:
All prices include VAT at the prevailing rate. Prices do not include delivery charges. For specific details of delivery charges see below. Please note that it may not be possible to deliver to all areas, please email us for further information should you have any concerns about delivery to your address.

If you wish to place an order for delivery outside the UK mainland, please email us with details of the destination address, and the items you wish to order, and we will provide a delivery quotation. Please note that local taxes or import duties may be applicable, and are payable by the customer.

Payment:
Payment for goods is made on order placement. For Special Order, and Special Delivery items, we will contact you to confirm the details of your order. Special Order items are those manufactured in customer specific fabrics, finishes or dimensions.

Products:
All dimensions and colours are checked against the manufacturers' description, but are subject to slight variations. Colour representation is as realistic as possible, but can only ever be considered approximate due to variances of web browsers and monitors.

We cannot guarantee that items ordered in the same finish/fabric/leather but at different times, will match.

Order Cancellations by the Client:
You may cancel your order contract with Prego at any time up to the end of the seventh working day from the date you placed your order (excluding Special Orders). Cancellations must be made in writing, either by amail to sales@pregosheffield.co.uk or letter to Prego, West one 7 The Plaza, Fitzwilliam Street, Sheffield, S1 4JB. You must quote your name and order reference.

Once you have notified Prego of an order cancellation, your credit card/paypal account will be re-credited as soon as possible, and withing 30 days of the initial transaction, provided that your returned goods are received by us in the condition that they were in when they were delivered to you.

If you receive goods for which you have cancelled your order contract, you must return the goods to Prego at your own cost, as soon as possible, and without their unpacking.

Returns:
We hope that you will be happy with your purchases, however, should it happen that you wish to return goods, we will endeavour to make the process as straightforward as possible. Only standard items (this excludes Special Orders, manufactured to customer requirements) still in saleable condition may be returned, and must be done so within 7 working days from the date of delivery, whereby we will refund the price paid for the item to the purchaser. Please note that, with the exception of faulty merchandise, we cannot exchange, or accept the return of goods which have been opened and used. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Should you wish to make a return please contact Prego by phone or email, in the first instance. We will confirm the destination address for your returned goods. Please note that until they reach us the parcel and contents remain your responsibility. We recommend that you return any parcel by registered post, and that you retain proof of postage. The cost of returning goods is at your expense. For larger furniture items Prego will designete a carrier to collect the goods, with whom you will need to organise access for collection to take place. Please note that you will be subject to collection charges for each time that the carrier is unable to gain access to make the collection.

Items returned must be in perfect, original, unused condition with all the original packaging and contents.

The cost of sending goods back will be borne by the purchaser.  The customer must also ensure that the goods are fully insured during transit. On return Prego will refund the original purchase price less the initial delivery charge and subsequent collection charge, if paid for by Prego.

Special Orders:
Special order items are those manufactured in customer specific fabrics finishes or dimensions. Once a Special Order has been processed, i.e. after 5 working days following the order acceptance, it is not possible to change the specification, cancel, or subsequently return the goods. Please only order if you are sure that an item and finish are right for your needs, and having checked that according to the dimensions of the item, access through doorways, stairwells, etc., will not be a problem.

If a Special Order arrives damaged or defective, you must notify Prego within 48 hours of receipt, by phone or by email, leaving your telephone number so that we can contact you back. We may require photographic images of the item in order to describe the problem to the manufacturer. A replacement will be manufactured and delivered as soon as possible.

Order cancellations by Prego:
Prego reserves the right to cancel a contract with a customer:
- should we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered
- should we not deliver to your address location
- in the event of one or more of the goods having been listed at an incorrect price by typographical error, or incorrect supplier information
- should the manufacturer be unable to complete the order, eg in the event of product withdrawal.
 
Should we need to cancel your contract we will notify you by email, and will re-credit your payment card/account as soon as possible, and within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
 
 
Delivery:
Standard UK mainland parcel delivery charges are £7.95 per single delivery (this is charged per delivery regardless of the number of items). UK mainland excludes: UK Islands, Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man & Channel Islands. For delivery to these areas please contact us for a quotation.
 
 
All deliveries are during weekdays between 8am and 6pm and will need to be signed for on receipt. In-stock smaller items may be sent with parcel companies who will attempt delivery on a weekday without notice. Single orders which may have split delivery (due to item availability) will only attract one delivery charge, which will be applied when placing an order. Delivery is usually between 1 and 7 working days from placing your order, unless stated otherwise.
 
For orders where items are not from stock, any delivery dates suggested by Prego will be based on the best information available but may be subject to manufacturer lead times and transportation schedules, and are therefore always a best estimate, and non-binding. Estimated delivery dates will be considered as accepted by the purchaser unless disagreement is notified in writing, by post or by email, and within 7 days of the order placement. Special delivery conditions requested by the purchaser must be notified in writing at the time of order placement for Prego’s consideration. We will try to accommodate specific delivery requirements wherever possible, however Prego cannot be held responsible for delays in delivery which are beyond our control. Prego will not be held responsible for any subsequent loss or expense due to delay in delivery, for whatever reason
 
Any unforeseen delay in delivery that may occur will be notified to the customer.
 
A Special Delivery service is required for large or fragile furniture items. This usually constitutes a two-man delivery, and un-packing of the items if requested. The price of Special Delivery is £75 per delivery. We do not offer an assembly service.
 
Where the customer does not comply with our attempts to deliver the goods we may, at our discretion, cancel the entire/or part of the order and charge the customer 10% of the total cost of the order to cover storage, shipping and insurance of the goods. Furthermore it is essential for the customer to check that items are the required size, and that they will fit into the space for which they are intended. Access must be checked before ordering and we must be informed of any special delivery requirements prior to delivery.
 
On request, collection can be arranged from our shop/warehouse. In this instance no delivery charge would be made. Please contact us if you wish to collect in person.
 
Liability
If the goods delivered are not what you ordered, are damaged or defective, or the delivery is of an incorrect quantity, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us of the problem in writing within 3 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
If you notify us under this condition, we will:
- make good any shortage in the delivery
-  replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective as soon as possible
- or refund the amount paid by you for the goods in question.
 
Security:
This website makes use of encrypted servers which gives assurance that your card and personal details cannot be accessed by another party. Credit card details are processed by secure payment server – card details are not stored on the Prego site.
 
Personal information:
All personal information collected in the transaction process will be used solely by Prego and will not be passed on to a third party. We may wish to inform customers of future offers or promotions. If you no longer wish to receive such communications please e-mail us at prego@btconnect.com  with the subject ‘unsubscribe’.
 
 
 
These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
